Bone Densitometry Course 2018

The National Training Scheme for Bone Densitometry is the only course that offers Certification in Bone Densitometry for healthcare professionals or clinical scientists.

The National Training Scheme for Bone Densitometry consists of a two-day lecture course on 'Bone Densitometry in Osteoporosis Assessment and Management'. This is followed (at a later date) by an online examination and portfolio submission process, successful completion of which leads to Certification in Bone Densitometry providing operators with proof of their competence to perform bone densitometry measurements.

Suitable for all health professionals, this two day lecture course aims to improve the standards in bone densitometry practice across the UK. Candidates can apply for Certification in Bone Densitometry following attendance at the course and the completion of an exam and portfolio.


Following attendance at the lecture course, candidates can choose to complete an exam and portfolio to achieve Certification in Bone Densitometry. The online exam takes place in regional centres across the UK.


To achieve Certification in Bone Densitometry candidates must complete a portfolio to demonstrate your understanding and practical ability in bone densitometry.
