Apply to be a Research Grants Committee
We are currently looking to appoint new scientific members of the Research Grants Committee who are currently working in any of the following areas related to osteoporosis:
- Primary Care
- Health Services Research
- Falls/ geriatric
- Basic Science
The successful candidates will have solid experience of practical research and research methodology.
The position is offered on a voluntary unpaid basis, but any travelling expenses will be reimbursed.

As a Scientific Member you will
- Help to ensure that the money so generously raised by the public is put to the best possible use to support the highest-quality research
- Advise the Charity in your individual specialist area and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees on the allocation of research funding, in line with the Charity’s research strategy
- Assess applications for research funding received by the Charity using your experience of practical research and research methodology
- Oversee the research grants programme and advise the Charity about the development of its Research Strategy in line with the Charity’s overall organisational strategy
